Safety in the salon during COVID-19

In the forefront of all of our minds right now is the safety of ourselves and of others. Many of us have been left feeling confused and unsure about the levels of safety associated with public, indoor spaces.

The Style Bar would like to ease your mind: we are taking every safety measure we can, and we feel that the level of risk in visiting us is very low. In this space, we will talk about how we follow the CDC guidelines to insure maximum safety for our clients and our staff.

We are socially distancing where possible.

Along with requiring masks from all clients and staff, we have spaced our chairs to be more than six feet apart from each other. We have also reduced the sharing of our common spaces to limit the distance between our clients at any given time.

Our cleaning and disinfection policies are CDC-compliant.

To minimize contact, we use disposable gloves when we work with our clients’ hair. Additionally, our staff is instructed to diligently wash hands after removing gloves. For high-touch areas, we clean and disinfect as often as we can between client visits.

With our tools and workstations, we clean with soap and then rinse in disinfectant to kill germs between every client. For our employee’s masks, we require them to be freshly laundered for each shift.

We understand how a simple visit to a salon amidst the Covid-19 pandemic requires thought and care. We’d also like to thank our clients from the bottom of our hearts for trusting us and for supporting us. We couldn’t do it without you!
